Kayakfishingsupplies.com is having a clearance on Malibu fishing kayaks and will ship the the kayak for $49 if you are willing to pick it up at rochestee or buffalo airports. Prices range from $369 for a Mini-X, $399 for am X-13 or Stealth 9, to around $600 for other fishing models. Thougtht I'd pass this find along to those looking forr a yak for themselves or family members.
Think I have my kayak downsizing upgrade narrowed down to 3 or 4 yaks. They are the Wildy Tarpon 100, Wildy Pungo 100, Current Designs Solara 100, & Malibu Stealth 9. If things workout the way I would like I will end up with 2 shorter, lighter yaks to replace my 12'. Just have to decide if I want 2 SOTs or an SOT and a SINK.
Looking for some input from the SINK anglers. As much as I like SOTs back issues are forcing me to consider lightweight boats which means shorter rotomolded SOTs in the 10' ft range or thermoformed SOTs the 12' range. A 10 footer will fit in my van and from what I have been told a SINK in that length will track better than an SOT. I would appreciate any of the SINK users weighing in on what they use and what they like and dislike about their boat.
